Guest20 I have a project where I would like to mirror a repo with multiple branches off a main branch, and then also provide a directory with extra tooling to build the project a certain way and add CI pipelines read by a repo bot. It seems like I would either need to constantly rebase the main branch with --update-refs onto a CI branch and force push,17:06
merge in the CI branch into every other branch, or maintain the CI branch as a separate tree not branched from the mirror, and make all my tooling require cloning and working with a mirrored branched or tag as a separate directory. Out of all those options, which would be the best, and are there any better ideas?17:06

thiago git diff, by default (without --cached) shows the diff against the index (the staging area to the next commit)23:47
if you want to see the diff to the commit, do git diff @23:47
if you only want to start tracking the file without staging it, use git add -N23:47
