mud If that for some reason doesn't work, I've used git bisect for things like that. It's too heavyweight if it's just a line being removed though. But you just treat "bad" as "thing I'm looking for is gone" and good as the opposite and run it as usual.03:59

all you need is just one hash of the tip of the branch before the modification, all its parents go from there transparently19:54
and you would not necessarily have to backup all of the repo, just reference what you want to keep (have another branch name point there before heavy manipulation)19:55
