bad drivers, bad drivers, whatcha gonna do? watcha gonna do when they fail on you?07:32
mpmc Replace the hardware? :p07:33
negge already did, this is my spare one for those rare situations when both other ones are in use07:33
anyway I think this card is simply faulty07:34
mpmc What device is this btw? :p07:34
negge terratec cinergy c pci07:34
my mom and dad has one each and theirs work just fine so I think I just got unlucky07:34
but anyway, this hack works wonders :-)07:35
mpmc I bet you could have done something like it in Python.07:35
negge I started out in bash but all I managed to do was crash tvh07:35
mpmc Haha!07:36
negge plus I'm used to PHP and I didn't want to waste extra hours on something has unhonourable as this07:36
mpmc I see, well that does make sense.07:37

adamsutton anyone here that can try tuning 11126V (channel 4 HD), I'm getting no signal, very odd11:39
actually something very wrong with my TVH server atm11:41
hmm, and now its working, I think one of the tuners went bonkers and refused to sort itself out, hmm11:42
and a recording is not stopping, much weirdness11:44

mpmc adamsutton: Funny you mention not being able to tune to some channels, for the last few days I was unable to tune to any of the (BBC etc) HD channels via T2, I just this moment fixed it by removing the mux and adding it again. Any clue what could be causing this? Changes on the mux confusing TVH maybe?12:53
I checked for errors and there wasn't any, my other T2 tuner working okay.12:54
adamsutton I've no idea, I've not removed my mux or change any settings and now its working. But there was much weirdness going on.12:58
It appeared to still be tuned to that mux when it shouldn't have been. I eventually disabled that tuner, enabled the other 2 (which I didn't realise were disabled, good job I spotted that before Xmas rush!) and got it to tune the mux on another tuner.12:59
serafean_ left12:59
adamsutton That worked, so I stopped it and restarted and it started up on the previously not working tuner and all is happy.12:59
mpmc Isn't TVH meant to keep track of changes in the stream and update them vidio pids etc?13:02

mrec we're shipping already yes17:37
DVB-C/T/T2 :-)17:37
adamsutton mrec: has mine shipped :p17:38
mrec the housing looks very nice17:38
should be within the next hours, the delivery service will pick up the outstanding packages tomorrow morning17:39
http://sundtek.de/images/sundtek_mediatv_pro_3.jpg17:39
adamsutton great, maybe I'll have to drop into work after Xmas :)17:39
mrec unfortunately the photo looks cheap17:40
adamsutton no looks pretty good17:40
mrec the housing itself has a very nice quality17:40
1cm height of the overall device (excluding connector)17:40
adamsutton I've actually put a really recent kernel on my laptop specifically so I can test the new stuff when it arrives :p17:40
mrec we only have userspace drivers as you know17:41
adamsutton no idea where I'll connect it though, only antenna is in the loft17:41
mrec it works with 2.6.15+17:41
DVB-T2 should get some more testing definitely17:41
DVB-C is very fast17:41
bow how much is this new one :)17:42
mrec http://support.sundtek.com/index.php/topic,1440.0.html17:42
some more pictures17:42
cheap, considering that it's manufactured in Berlin our cost is high unfortunately17:42
89E(DVB-C/T/T2/AnalogTV/FM/Composite/Svideo)17:43
79E(DVB-C/T/T2)17:43
bow k about the same as the old dvb-c I guess17:43
adamsutton mrec: which one are you sending me? I think it was the pro one17:43
bow I should order some17:43
mrec license is a rip off17:43
10k EUR DVB-T2 entry fee17:43
adamsutton: no idea whatever you submitted last time, someone else is packing at the moment17:44
adamsutton mrec: ok, np, I only really need the T/C anyway17:44

negge anyone here uses XBMC and willing to try something out?18:39
I've found that changing the condition in https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/blob/master/xbmc/cores/dvdplayer/DVDPlayer.cpp#L1620 to simply if(true) dramatically speeds up channel switches18:40
it basically removes the frozen frame and starts playing instantly18:40

negge bowman: no I haven't had time to look at it in detail yet20:50
o_cee_ adamsutton: got a minute?20:50
adamsutton o_cee_: yeah20:51
o_cee_ adamsutton: fixed new cables, ditched unicable, installed master20:51
muxes are detected, but not all services20:51
mpegts: 10934H - initial scan no data, failed20:51
a lot of those20:51
mpegts: 11216V - cat incomplete20:52
mpegts: 11216V - nit incomplete20:52
mpegts: 11216V - sdt incomplete20:52
any ideas? i see a lot of services without names20:52
adamsutton o_cee_: ok the first message implies no data was received from that mux, tuning failure?20:53
the others imply that those tables didn't complete within the arbitrary time period (you could try increasing to see if that helps)20:53
o_cee_ adamsutton: i will have to check the lnb again tomorrow i guess..20:53
could be the most likely solution since i also changed the lnb20:54
jh^ i got no problms on 11216V20:54
adamsutton well he's getting data on that mux20:54
else it wouldn't be marked "incomplete"20:54
o_cee_ ok good jh^, then we can assume it's the lnb that needs some fiddling20:54
adamsutton incomplete implies it started, but not finished20:54
o_cee_ ok20:54
i will try some physical tuning tomorrow instead.20:55
adamsutton it's possible those tables are coming out so slowly they're not being fully seen within the time period, but it seems unlikely20:55
o_cee_ where's that time configurable?20:55
jh^ got 16 services on that mux20:55
adamsutton o_cee_: it's not20:56
o_cee_ sorry need to take care of the baby20:56
