funky1 good morning everyone08:17
back again and it seems like the changes on turksat are not working well at all with tvh, I'm having a lot of service not enabled issues, I do have the workaround that I came up with last year, see here: https://tvheadend.org/boards/4/topics/9251?r=9300#message-9300 but I need the PMT entries for each station (most of the stations on the new sat are service disabled) so back then as you can read I got the info from lyngsat of kingofsat, but they have not yet u08:20
pdated their sat info, still the old one, and on the site of turksat you can't find pmt info, anyone got a clue where i might be able to obtain that? maybe i site I'm not aware yet08:20

philip Hello, haven't used IRC for years. I don't quite know what to say, but I posted the problem I'm having with using USALS in the general section of the forum (Philip Reynolds). Is there any way I can help in providing you with info concerning the issue I have?18:39
mpmc Best thing you can do is open a bug report stating your issue and any info :)18:42
perexg mariotux: good code, perhaps, it might be nice to move the main regex loop to a subroutine to make code more readable with a string buffer argument for the result.. then do atoi() / str ops for this buffer..18:44
mariotux: also, I would make all logging as trace or debug.. there is the mix now (I know old code uses debug).. I would probably prefer trace for these ops..18:46
philip OK, thanks. My learning curve for linux is still in the 'brown trousers' period, how can I obtain a log file that's adequate for debugging? TVheadend starts as a service automatically, do I have to change the int.d file to enable logging?18:46
mpmc philip: https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/Debugging :)18:47
mariotux perexg: the tvhdebug at tile 411 is an error due to C&P; it should be a tvhtrace as the others. It should be the only one, right?18:47
philip Or am I talking complete rubbish:)18:48
mariotux perexg: for the subroutine for the regex I can look at this18:48
mpmc philip: You're not talking rubbish no :p18:49
perexg: Just to confirm, All channels are working again =D18:51
perexg philip: the 400 error means bad request, 401 error auth error (bad password probably)..18:51
(for others - looking to the rotor topic in the forum)..18:51
philip mpmc: thanks. I've looked at the page but don't understand how to put it into practice. perexg: yeah, you just reminded me I entered the password incorrectly.18:53
perexg phiilip: as mpmc suggested, it would be better to create a complete trace for 'diseqc, linuxdvb' and put it to a new bug report.. I'll try to look into it..18:53
philip: do the trace for both working (without rotor conf) and non-working (rotor conf) cases..18:54
philip perexg: can i enable trace from the webui?18:55
perexg philip: yes, but check first, if you have compiled tvh with --enable-trace or it does not work...18:55
philip perexg: sorry to be a pain, but how is it done if I haven't compiled --enable-trace?18:56
perexg philip: then tvh does not support this extended debugging feature..18:57
mpmc I think the autobuild script has it enabled by default.18:57
M4tt0_ left18:58
perexg philip: it's easy to check it, just type 'tvheadend -h' and look for --trace line... if it does not exits, the trace is not supported..18:59
philip mmpc: I'm running Build: 3.9.1529~gb2d0156~trusty, I believe this was autobuilt? If so, where would I find the trace log?18:59
perexg philip: configure the file in the debugging tab.. and enable trace and to trace subsystems put 'linuxdvb,diseqc'... you should see log lines immediatelly in the file when you start a stream..19:00
philip perexg: ahhh, thanks, you're a diamond.19:01

Xiol: I think it's kept back a few days in case there are any more commits, if you want the latest, build it from source :)19:51
mariotux mpmc: in such tab I can see the HTSP connections of the XBMC plugins19:52
mpmc mariotux: Ah so it does! Why are http connections not listed there too, seems odd.19:55
dreamcat4 perexg: what is the point waiting 2nd time here for non-compliant hardware? - https://github.com/tvheadend/tvheadend/blob/8d5e181/src/input/mpegts/satip/satip_frontend.c#L128619:56
philip mpmc, perexg: few, that was interesting. Trace was enabled- how can I post the text file?19:58
phew, not few:)19:59
dreamcat4 perexg: i still don't understand this events code, but it isn't working on freebsd, and you did't accept my pull request to disable the affected area19:59
perexg philip: use any public file upload service ? (googledrive etc..)20:00

philip perexg: so can I ask your email address?20:08

mpmc philip: just use a pastebin service like pastebin.com or attach it to a bug report on tvheadend.org =D20:15

perexg dreamcat4: I know, but you have workaround, so you can use it.. I'm keeping this open until properly resolved..20:19
philip perexg: sorry, being thick again- https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8HTYRe6SXMCMDV1dWRHTG9pNjA/edit?usp=sharing20:19
mpmc: always wondered what pastebin was for:)20:20
mpmc Ugh, TBS..20:21
philip mpmc: yeah, I know. i was using oss drivers for the DVB-C card, but the 6922SE wasn't recognised, so had to revert to mess special.20:23
mariotux perexg: https://github.com/tvheadend/tvheadend/pull/48620:24
perexg philip: could you also give me your satconfig - <cfg_directory>/input/linuxdvb/adapters/<pick_the_file_with_used_config_in_the_provided_log>20:34
htsbot Commit in 'master ' by Mario Di Raimondo [ files modified ] http://bit.ly/1rmsDq520:34
moved opentv patterns from code-level to the provider configuration file20:34
20:35
This permits to add/change patterns without touching the code.20:35
20:35
In the original code of tvheadend there was an old pattern: it was20:35
copied in ausat/skyuk conf file in order to maintain backward compatibility.20:35
Note: now all the patterns are uniformly applied in a case-sensitive way (necessary for sky-it subtitle patterns)20:35
Commit in 'master ' by Mario Di Raimondo [ file modified ] http://bit.ly/1rmsDq720:35
inserted as fake elements some reference strings for the patterns in the sky-it configuration file20:35
philip mpmc, perexg or anyone: if it is a prob with the TBS card, can you advise on a good DVB-S2 card with USALS support. Has to be PCI.20:35
htsbot 20:35
they could be useful in the future in order to reconstruct the logic behind the patterns20:35
Commit in 'master ' by Mario Di Raimondo [ file modified ] http://bit.ly/1rmsEtW20:35
introduced function _opentv_apply_pattern_list in order to cleanup the code to apply regexes20:35

perexg mariotux: merged, nice work..20:35
mariotux perexg: thanks! It was interesting. Hopping to contribute again.20:36
mpmc philip: I can't say if it's your card only perexg can tell you that (he's the only active dev here) xD20:36
perexg philip: I don't think that's hardware... I don't see some steps in the log from tvh..20:36
philip perexg: just remembered I didn't include the 'universal lnb setup'. I'll do it now.20:38
perexg philip: show me the config file...20:38
philip perexg: err, where is it?20:39
perexg look few lines above..20:39
mariotux perexg: I think I had tuning problems similar to philip with sat>ip dvb-t tuner. Zapping on xbmc it looks that the channel switching it stuck: I select another channel but I see always the same channel. It is quite rare and it could be started by a problem in decoding in my case. If I wait some seconds (maybe more than 10), all is restored to normality.20:39
philip perexg: doh20:40
perexg mariotux: if you catch this, create a bug report with the log.. not sure which subsystems, but at least something to start..20:41
mariotux Ok, I'll try to reproduce the problem but it was rare.20:42
