luuthe GeeMac: go for it. i did a one-off test earlier with success, but i'm still sourcing my epg data from schedulesdirect so i won't normally use the ota grabber02:26
GeeMac I just took a update from the Nightly looks as if it is still 4.1-724~gc08bf5602:27
luuthe that's the version perexg listed in the issue, so i'd imagine it has the atsc grabber. i built from git directly02:30
nilzen joined02:30
GeeMac That should be the correct one. I'm still getting the grayed out module. brbr02:32
How do you stop this without it respawning so quick? I guess this has to be completely stopped and restarted??02:35
Still no go here. PSIP ATSC Grabber module still grayed out02:41
luuthe grayed out? meaning the entry in the list on the left? here's mine (disabled by choice atm): http://imgur.com/sfwfXIq02:45
GeeMac http://imgur.com/sivKwAv02:50
luuthe lookslike it's enabled to me02:50
letifosiferrari left02:51
GeeMac Even with the rightside grayed out? Or is that normal?02:52
let me see if the epg is populating yet02:52
luuthe i'm pretty sure the text on the right is grayed out because it's a static label that you can't change02:57
you have to tune some channels to get it to populate02:57
GeeMac http://imgur.com/2CA2Wz303:05
luuthe try disabling the superfluous grabber modules?03:06
GeeMac That's the problem, can't, I have been trying. It is as if they are locked.03:08

GeeMac Well still have some of the OTA still checked. but finally got this. Yea....http://imgur.com/MM8lVk503:15
That is why I had a problem with the XML grabber. I could not turn it on and others I could not turn off. I tried unchecking each module then save and then one at a time and save each time. It's something on my end here that is probably not registering properly when I uncheck and save. I'm using Chrome03:17
luuthe hrm weird, at least it works now though. i use chromium on both osx and linux, no problems with that03:19
GeeMac I am seeing a possible problem, the major networks are not showing epg, just the indis03:24
And I would not put it past them to have some odd crap in the data. I'll leave this overnight and see if they get populated.03:26
I know they are streaming the data since my TV and even Myth grabbed it. I'll see in the morning.03:27
Odd one. just one major affiliate is showing the guide the rest nada03:31
Well I'm hitting the Zzzzzz. I'll check in the morn. Night and Thanks Guys for the great work.03:38

djmarcin Having trouble getting tvheadend transcode working. Compiled 4.0.6 with AUTOBUILD_CONFIGURE_EXTRA=--enable-libffmpeg_static ./Autobuild.sh -t trusty-amd6406:19
Tried playing with vlc -vvv "http://localhost:9981/stream/channelnumber/11.1&mux=webm&acodec=AAC&vcodec=H264&scodec=NONE&transcode=1&resolution=384" but it still seems to be delivering mpeg2 as far as I can tell06:21

djmarcin: try http://localhost:9981/stream/channelnumber/11.1?profile=webtv-h264-aac-matroska06:25
djmarcin Ahh, yes that does seem to work06:26
perexg djmarcin: it uses one of predefined profiles - look to Configuration / Stream / Stream Profiles06:26
djmarcin I was wondering how to use those :)06:26
Can I configure the tvheadend kodi plugin to use a stream profile? I'm running it off a raspberry pi and wondering if I really need to get an mpeg2 license (I know they're cheap) or if I can transcode from my server on the fly06:27

ProfYaffle mpmctoo: an observation - if you're *changing* a string in EN_GB versus just *translating* it, it's worth editing the EN_US one instead.08:04

ProfYaffle you'll see from the commits above that perexg uses that as the master - so changed to EN_US get rolled back into the code and then cascaded out to the other languages for localisation08:04

madmouser1_ left11:04
mpmctoo ProfYaffle: You can see the ones I've changed under Recording -> DVR Profiles.11:04
ProfYaffle mpmctoo: okay... so the use of sentence case is consistent with e.g. (most of) Config -> General, but Config -> DVB Inputs uses title case11:06
as does the edit channel/edit service dialogue boxes11:07
so it's really a case (boom, boom) of consistency, and whether you want to go down that road...11:07

ProfYaffle Just so long as Basil doesn't fall victim to Operation Yewtree, I'm okay ...11:15

sebastianlutter left11:18
ProfYaffle mpmctoo: I'd take a simple view... go with the fewest changes. If most are in Title Case, then use that as a default; if most are in sentence case, then go with that instead.11:18
there's not really a right or wrong here11:19
mpmctoo Title case looks ugly IMO.11:19
But I see your point :p11:19
ProfYaffle I just checked a Google and Microsoft product on two different platforms... dialogues on both use sentence case11:20
VLC the same11:20
so I think the market agrees with you :)11:20
mpmctoo I really should setup my headset with some speech to text software but the stuff is so damn expensive!11:24
Then again it may not even understand me :/11:25
perexg just my little comment - could you guys do these capitalization changes directly in the source code ? it saves my time, thanks...11:25
mpmctoo perexg: If the strings get changed in the code wont that screw up the transifex?11:26
perexg yes, but the nice transifex feature is that the older translation will be offered on the right side, so you just click copy, save and go to another..11:27
it's better to do such cleanups now before 4.2...11:27

perexg it's good to debug the options on cmdline.. just use similar command ffmpeg and arguments and redirect output to a file.. then check the info lines from ffmpeg and try to play the redirected contents using any player16:37
p3terpan_ i already tested the command in ffmpeg and it plays fine, and tvheadend accept the m3u8 on the pipe, and when i request it from kodi it plays fine16:40

perexg I don't undestand..16:44

then i sent the streaming from ffmpeg to tvheadend16:45

then i create the channel in tvheadend16:46
then i open the channel in kodi, and plays fine16:46

linuxdvb: satconf - more udelay fixes (rotor/switch)19:17
lsd and there is a 15ms delay in linuxdvb_diseqc_set_volt which adds up to atleast 25ms, before it was just 15, so maybe set lower bound of powerup delay to 019:17
perexg lsd: rotor was broken, switch is ok (although I noted it in the commit)19:17
